We need all the sponsors and supporters we can get, this year we are doing a 5 day endurance ride in aid of 2 charities, Scunthorpe MS Society & St. Lukes Special School sports equipment.
This years ride will start on the 17th July 2009 setting off from St. Lukes School in Scunthorpe at 9am:
Day 1: Scunthorpe - Scarborough
Day 2: Scarborough - Pately Bridge
Day 3: Pately Bridge - Blackpool
Day 4: Blackpool - Holmfirth
Day 5: Holmfirth - Scunthorpe
We expect to do in the region of 400 miles in the 5 days, covering The Pennines twice.
We will be having Police Out riders ensuring that we leave Scunthorpe on the 17th July, this should be quite a colourfull start to the ride with blue lights flashing etc, now 22 riders and a support vehicle, covered in Logo's from all the companies that are sponsoring us.

The Story so Far
ReplyDeleteWe have been given the money by Maximum Security & Flexi-Hire to produce a new set of team kit in two different styles which we have done. This kit is now being sold at £15 per top with all of the proceeds going to this years chosen charities and should raise in the region of £1600.
A few riders helped out at Sainsbury's in Scunthorpe on exercise bikes to help them raise money for Comic Relief but half of the money raised was donated to us whish amounted to £160.
Sponsor forms have been produced and all of the riders have them.
Raffle tickets have been produced and are available for sale, the raffle itself will be on the presentation night at Heslam Park Rugby Club on the 12th September. The presentaion night will also raise money, tickets are being sold for this at £8 each, there will be entertainment, food, raffle draw and a charity auction.

Afternoon everyone, just got back from a tough 70 mile ride round the Wolds. In serious need of the sudacreme.
