Burringham Duathlon 2009

The Burringham Duathlon Series opened tonight with a 1 - 11 - 1, that is a 1 Mile Run, 11 Mile Bike Ride followed by another 1 Mile Run. A very good turn out 57 competitors in all and a good turn out for the Treaderz. A big well done to Claire, Jamie and Matt in completing their first duathlons ever! Not an easy task but all managed it, results will follow within the next 10 days and will be posted as soon as they are for all of the Treaderz that completed it.

Well done again to Claire, Jamie and Matt !

  2. Last night was the second of the duathlon series and conditions were very good, slight breeze but hardly noticeable. It was a 1-14-2 one of the longer bike rides. Personally not on top cycling form, legs would not do fast last night after playing out on the bike the night before and doing an interval session but did feel an improvement in my running. Will post the Treaderz Team results as soon as I spot them on the Lincsquad website. As for next time its a handicap race so should be fun as usual. For those who are interested, the Time Trial should be on next Wednesday, details as usual on the Lincsquad website.

  4. The last duathlon 06/05/09 was the first of the handicap races, 2 - 11 - 2. In all a very good turn out considering the race conditions, a very strong south westerly wind. Of course the wind didn't hinder the run sections but made the outbound cycling very tough in places. Quite a well grouped finish with most finishing at around the one hour mark. I am checking daily for the results of this race and will post as soon as they appear.

  5. Hi Matt.. I see that the results of last weeks race are out.... and that your tactic of 'taking it easy' the week before has done wonders for your handicaped position.....(only Joking... great times for the running well done)
